Vaginal Steam Herbs
Vaginal Steam Herbs
Luminae Vaginal Steam Herbs are handcrafted to support a smooth menstrual cycle, reproductive health, womb wellness, and feminine empowerment. Vaginal steaming, commonly known as yoni steam, is a traditional healing practice that can be traced back to many cultures throughout the world. Steaming is a direct and gentle way to deliver herbal medicine to the reproductive area and heal the body.
Vaginal steaming has many physical benefits. This herbal blend is formulated to help with menstrual cramps, PMS symptoms, mood swings, bloating, irregular menstrual cycles, cysts and fibroids, yeast and bacteria infections, and enhancing fertility. Vaginal steaming helps cleanse the uterine lining, nourish vaginal tissue, improve circulation, warm the uterus, and balance pH levels.
Vaginal steaming also has energetic effects in helping to release stored emotions, clear imprints from past lovers, and heal trauma especially related to past pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, relationships, sex, power, and creativity. Steaming is a way to connect to the womb as a sacred center and channel the powerful energy of the feminine body.
Ingredients: a blend of herbs featuring Mugwort, Motherwort, Calendula Flower, Rose Petals, Uva Ursi, Rosemary, Plantain Leaf, White Sage, Lavender. This herbal blend is made in small batches and the herbs vary each time depending on what is harvested. All ingredients are organic and sustainably sourced when possible.
Each bag contains loose herbs for 2 steams.
To use: Bring a pot of water to boil and add the herbs. Keep the lid on the pot and simmer the herbs for 10 minutes. Remove the pot from heat and let the pot cool for 5 minutes. You can steam in several ways: sitting on a yoni steam stool with the pot under the stool; cushion the ground with towels, sit on your knees with your pelvis hovering over the pot and arms placed in front to stabilize your body (similar to child’s pose in yoga); or bring two chairs side by side, put the pot in between, sit over the pot. Drape a big sheet or towel around you to contain the heat. Steam is hot! Be careful to not burn yourself. Steam for 15-30 minutes.
It’s important to know the proper and safe way to steam, and to use the appropriate herbs. There are several contraindications to steaming such as having an IUD, during flow of menstrual bleeding, after ovulation if you are trying to conceive, and during pregnancy. If you are not familiar with the practice of vaginal steaming or if you have specific reproductive health concerns, we suggest that you consult with a practitioner for personalized guidance, detailed instructions, and recommendations on the appropriate herbs to use.
